George,
If you want to engage in a useful and critical discussion, that has an important bearing on investment and speculation, look at this:

Message 8694005

Before you comment, I suggest you do a little DD like I did and research the following:
1. number of fuel tanker rail cars available to haul deisel from Scottford refinery or other Edmonton refineries to Hay River.
2. cycle time for a round trip for fuel train to Hay River
3. Fuel storage capacity at Hay river
4. Number of tanker trunks available in Western canada to haul fuel from hay River to Yellowknife and other northern destinations like ekati, Lupin etc...
5. Cycle or turn around time per tank truck...capacity per truck
6. Fuel consumption in Yellowknife
7. Ekati and Lupin fuel consumption
8. etc etc etc
If you do the above, I have no doubt you will come to a similar conclusion....the beuty of Snap Lake is that they could, if need be, build a short year round haul road to Great Slave lake and barge fuel and supplies. This is not an option for Diavik...I doubt they will be able to come on stream until after Ekati is finished mining all their pipes...thats what now? about 25 years down the road...Ekati rushed to production for many reasons.....Diavik is looking more like a pipe dream all the time....
