The K6-2 is 81mm2 and the K6-3 is 118mm2. So unless extra stuff was added to the K6-3, 256KB L2 cache is approx. 37mm2 on the .25 process. Since 512K on the .18 process is a little larger than that, I guess there may be some type of K7-2.

One thing I don't understand is how 128K L2 cache added 24mm2 to the Celeron A while 100% more cache was added to the K6-III at only 50% more die space (37mm2 vs. 24mm2).
