Number one, as you well know, this is not an athiest principle. But if you adopt it, then you have to justify it outside of God as a solid principle for living. What does it do for an athiest that specifically works better than the "materialistic" principle, which I claim has been reserved for atheists by my God.

OK, I am trying harder. Prove to me that my life, or your's, or your son's as a human being on this planet should be kept in the face of the environmentalists concern for overpopulation. Seems rather pointless and selfish for the three of us to go on; well there is still materialism as a purpose.
