Wogger,
My question is: CSCO had planned to advertise its brand to make it a well known
household brand name via TV ads but we have not once seen one up here on tv in
the northeast??

What, no "Are You Ready" ads back there? Cisco's ad, with this theme, showing people, mostly kids from around the world in their habitat, and implying Cisco will "internet the world" (my words) has been showing in the SF Bay Area for at least half a year. Strange if they don't do Boston, New York, rest of the country, etc.

Tony

wogger,

IMO, TV advertising is a waste of time. IT managers and CIOs are not captured by TV ads, and even if they are, it is an awfully expensive way to target those buyers. Sun is advertising like crazy because they want to reposition themselves as a 'net company to the public, and their advertising is aimed more at investors rather than their customers. Cisco gets a lot more bang for the buck with the Cisco Powered Network marketing program.

Doughboy.
