I didn't want to get involved in the current debate about the present and future of the MSS industry, specifically Globalstar, Iridium and ICO, but the level of intelligence here is declining and that does no one any good, Dragonfly.

Goodboy - who does not like me, by the way - is, in my opinion, correct in virtually every detail about Iridium. Again, this is my OPINION, so feel free to disregard it. But, I remind you that I have seen Iridium from a subscriber standpoint as well as from a shareholder standpoint; I am neither now.

Goodboy's assertions about Globalstar, however, give me pause. I am not at all certain of the success profile for this company as detailed by him. George Gilder correctly foretold the future of Iridium well over a year ago when he said "Iridium will fall from the sky like a stone". How I wish I had heeded those words... Now Gilder apparently questions the demand model for the MSS industry, noting that these systems were designed a decade ago; how much innovation occurs in a decade these days, and how much will occur before Globalstar achieves subscriber capacity? The answer: quantum amounts.

Goodboy is right about Iridium. I am not at all certain he's right about Globalstar. Please don't send me any hate mail, because I am only saying what I think.
