Then your footwear is no doubt in perfect taste, exquisitely coordinated with your wardrobe At the moment, typical work attire: soft comfy jogging pants, oversized T-shirt, Reebok sandals. Some advantages to dealing with clients exclusively in cyberspace. Formal is when I have to wear shoes. Never learned to tie a tie, I suppose I'm culturally deprived. I do some good knots, though, when the occasion calls for it.

Steve Nicholson, the fellow for whom I've been acting as involuntary caretaker, died this afternoon. Expected, no great emotion involved. But I was just making up the to-do list for tomorrow, and somehow it seemed very odd that between settling Jenny into her new playgroup, getting Joey to the dentist, and doing a fair number of work things, the list includes arranging a cremation. I usually leap at the chance to try things I've never done before, but I'll be glad when this one is over and done with.
