Could it be that Tornado II will be delayed? Supposed to be available by sometime in Q1 of 99. Perhaps there are some
technical issues that need to be addressed? Just a thought.

Whatever the cause of this catastrophy I do believe mgt. owes its
shareholders an explanation. They certainly know who is doing the
selling.

I emailed the company today and received the same reply that was posted a couple weeks ago:

Message 8667861

"we feel very good about our basic markets and the growth in the market and also very good about our competitive position and we will continue to grow the business as we have in the past."

I'm not sure why the stock is getting pummeled like it is, but after receiving the reply from Wind River's investor relations, I doubt there is some devastating news that is imminent (at least not from within Wind River.)

P.S. I noticed that Merril Lynch became a market maker in WIND today. Perhaps they will be initiating coverage soon.

Regarding the WIND price drop:

We've just had the end of the 1st quarter, and IMHO the drop in WIND reflects the re-alignment of mutual fund portfolios OUT of small stocks and into the large caps that are moving up. If you look at a cross-section of small co. stocks, most have moved down in the past few weeks. I don't think there's anything wrong with WIND that we haven't heard about -- of course with my luck, we'll hear something 15 min. after I post this.
