Seriously, good for you, getting them "fixed." Forget all the stuff about too many kitties in the world, an unaltered male cat is generally (not always, I am sure people can give anecdotes about old Tom who was an exception) aggressive, prone to get into fights, and that awful smell! I had one unaltered male as a pet, and will never do it again. Once he started to smell bad, he started to wander, and he got hit by a car, the only one of my cats to ever do so.
