To the Thread:

I ordered a PII366Mhz Inspiron 3500 with 128MB ... blah ... blah ... blah ... nothing special .... On Saturday 4/3/99 at 7:20ET ... It when into production by 7:45ET ... and is still there today as of 4/6/99 at 11:33ET. I realize that there was a holiday in there.

Now, this is going to sound strange, but have there been delays in Round Rock? Why is it taking so long? At this rate, it may actually ship on their estimated ship date of 4/8/99. Are there any component shortages out their at this point ... 14.1TFT? PII366Mhz? ... anything?

Or am I just too accustomed to buying desktops ... that seem to turn around almost instantaneously?

Just curious.

M. Dell is a man who does things for earnings and earnings growth, however I have not seen any earnings numbers for Gigabuys so I am stuck in theory land. Other inuts are not on my investment radar, I am a one trick pony.
