>No argument, but I do not believe irreparably...< Before I experienced an increase in common sense I would have agreed with you (grin). You must understand that the only way to repair the Presidency is to reject Bill Clinton. You see, he has established that the Presidency can accept blowjobs in the Oval Office, flagrant and repeated lies to our courts and to our faces (at least about sex), serious charges of rape and sexual harassment, etc. etc. If the office can hold Bill Clinton today, it can hold another Bill Clinton tomorrow. The Presidency has been harmed, my friend. >You are right to be exasperated with the return of Clinton to office, but I look at it in the context of the general cynicism about politicians. I still don't think most of them realized that something quite different than the usual fudging was going on here.< They do not realize this because they did not want to realize it. They said it was just lying about sex, that all men do it, etc. Each of these statements betrayed a lack of personal character and principle. Neocon I am not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I tell you the truth: I literally would want to die before I would do to my wife what Bill Clinton did to his. I have never done anything of the sort, and by God's grace I never will. >I have argued many times about the superficiality of those polls….< And I have agreed with your arguments. Nevertheless when I see the numbers returning the same time and again, I must consider they reflect a great deal of truth. >It shows no deep belief in Clinton and his policies…< Of course not. It shows something far worse. >By the way, would you rather your children pick up garbage on the streets rather than let Clinton remain in office?< Well, were the economy that precarious and were it that dependent upon Bill Clinton, then it really is an economy based on garbage anyway. What a sad state we would be in were our values held hostage to one scummy man such that were we to be rid of him, we would be compelled to pick garbage to survive. I am sorry, Neocon. It would not be worth it to me to cower in fear like a miserable whore, trying to hold on to a system that regardless of Bill Clinton is most assuredly doomed. There is nothing at all wrong with my children and I picking up garbage on the streets to make an honest living, and then together returning home knowing that we believe and follow after what is right and good. On the other hand there is everything wrong with following a lying probable rapist for the crumbs of a “good” life (hah!), this, all the while allowing the rapist to send my children perchance to their deaths on the basis of rapist morality. I certainly could not stand to look at myself in the mirror. I am not kidding Neocon. I would literally be ashamed of myself. If getting rid of the rapist for a decent leader means my children and I will have to comb the streets for garbage, then we will comb those streets and have a fabulous time of it too. Life would be a whole lot simpler, that is for dang sure. (to bed for me)
