how's that short going?

from the article.."...92 percent of commerce executives with current portal deals believe that portal tenancy deals help drive sales..."

So they may not be renewing existing deals but that does not mean that new deals will not be created. In fact 92% of commerce execs seem to agree.

How often do TV advertisers renew existing advertising deals? Or do they renegotiate as ratings/demographics/advertising expenses change. I suggest that if you polled leading TV Advertisers a similar 5% would say they are going to "renew their current agreements" The remainder would probably evaluate and renegotiate deals based on the above 3 factors

BTW, how's your short position <g>

It is not wise to short AOL.

"Smart Investor",there's nothing like a contrary voice...

...but you remind me of the many folks on the Dell thread who shorted Dell over the years. They came, and they went. Probably because they couldnt afford their ISP dues any more. Or the more extravagant ones, their rent.
What they learnt was that it is extremely unhealthy to stand in the way of a speeding train.
It may be heading for a wreck, but most 'smart' folks would still step to one side rather than stand right in front of it.
