My last code didn't behave as intended.
Need to change top from .67 to .33.

bob...

you said...
"Have you found MACD(12,26) <= 0 in combination with a 26-day ema that has monotonically decreased for the last 30 days tests well?"

I was having problems with your use of the word "monotonically"
which I looked up in our dictionary and found..
" in a monotonic manner" which then refers to "uttered in a monotone; monotonous..." which still confuses me somewhat..

The notion of using a MACD value and looking for zero (0) is because I had found it more effective with trend scans.. MACD is the difference between the 26 day and 12 day EMA's. Normally on a descending trend, the 12 day is lagging the 26day thus placing it below the 26 day. Use of it seems to make the scan more sensitive.
I get sharper bottoms this way which are much beter enhanced than simple EMA scans.

I havent run your scan yet, but it seems to me that use of stochastics makes the logic a little more remote.. I will come back to you after I have played with it a bit. Thank you for your interest.

regards
pete
