Monotonously decreasing captures the essence, however ;) I used the term purposely because it seemed to me that the EMA might be forgiven a single lapse in its ordained 30-day descent. Morris says re identifying the trend that "Numerous tests were performed on vast amounts of data with the finding that a 10-day EMA seemed to work as well as any, especially when you recall that candlesticks have a short-term orientation".
