this time it might be different..clinton likes to play it safe and his supporting this isn't playing it safe at all.. so many issues will be raised.. where is the peace dividend? are we bereft of military supplies? I never bothered to pay attention to arms deals with Russia..or what the rules are.. I was in Yugoslavia years ago..traveled from Greece to Dubrovik and around that region and later from Italy down to Belgrade.. There was so much hate..everybody in one place would make awful comments about another region..it wasn't even about region..one group called the other dumb..another group called another lazy etc.. so many people seemed burnt out.. I am amazed at how Tito had clued the place together..he also had appeared to spend most of his time posing since his pictures were everywhere.. I find the whole thing terrifying..
