The key word in your sentence is "may". It all depends on two factors that are unpredictable. Some on this thread would argue very negatively that at least one is very predictable. AMD has an historical record of of disappointing with relative consistency. This is not to say that iNTEL does not have big disappointments as well. They simply have the redundant internal infrastructure and the external marketing blitz capability to mask their failures. My favorite recent example of this is the pIII (which I have correctly described as "not ready for prime time"). The other is their obvious internal efforts to get something out soon enough to counter what must be seen as a genuine threat. Make no mistake, They are working feverishly to come up with a response that is credible.
