<<Should we begin with anyone after Bill Clinton, we will be forced into hypocrisy.>>

Not that I think it beyond the possibilities for politicians to act in a hypocritical way, but I have to agree with you. It is very likely that the clinton years will be used as a precident for things to come. Corrupt judges are common in many nations and have been uncovered in pockets of the US from time to time. Its hard for me to accept it but I've got a feeling this is only the beginning. When we have no faith that the highest officials of our government and justice system will be held to the principle foundations of a land of freedom and justice, we have nothing as a nation. Save an extra shopping cart for me and my kids.

Johannes--- You as an individual can do what you like, but the tendency you represent does indeed allow someone like Clinton to become president. If the majority who voted against Clinton had focused on the most viable candidate--- Bush in '92, Dole in '96--- we would not be ruing this business today. As for the other-- I agree that anything short of a specific repudiation of Bubba will constitute hypocrisy, but sometimes hypocrisy is tolerable, as anyone who has had to deal with difficulties in family relationships knows. Just as we don't mention Uncle Harry's drinking problem, or don't have it out with dear old dad about how he was neglectful, or whatever, we will put Clinton behind us and get on with things...
