Well this is a pet peve with me and have had many heated arguments about this with many different people.
I personally don't believe you can use a number such as 2 to divide by to get true vol.because each stock is not inflated vol wise. I believe this has a great deal to do with the lead MM on the stock. Now that is just my opinion from watching different stocks. and as far as MM trading between each other well it is suppose to be done on the open market and so it would be a trade just as if it was between a investor buying from them. but they are suppose to show that trade as a MM trade. Many time vol will be adjusted some time after the market on many stocks. Some times ITS NEVER DONE!
Now do you want to talk about pabn and compare the accuracy of the vol or do you want to talk about the OTC REPORTING SYSTEM in general?
