Article on Brilliant Digital Entertainment - ability to show movies over DSL after you download their player, working with Brit. Telecom:

inside-cable.co.uk

Also, recently heard about a company called Convergent Companies (CVGTD). They are working on streaming video (30fps) over 28.8 modems. The approach (still in development) uses three applications to accomplish this, a pre-processor, a transmission processor and a post-processor. The latter would be downloaded to your machine, like RealPlayer.

Those are the tidbits for today.

Michael - I cannot answer your question about how to classify these stocks although I think it is a good one. I am still coming up to speed on companies in this sector and don't feel like I know enough to address it properly. I would strongly recommend that you take a close look at TeraGlobal Communications (TGCC). This tiny little NASDAQ Bulletin Board of a company announced yesterday that William McCoy has been appointed to their Board of Directors. W. McCoy spent 35 years at BellSouth, the last of them as their Vice Chairman. Why would somebody like that spend his time on little TeraGlobal? By the time the answer is obvious, the stock is going to be a lot higher than where it is now. I'm not sure I would classify them as a Cadillac though, more like a BMW 3-Series.
