OFF TOPIC:

I want to express my gratitude to all of you who posted and kept me in your prayers. This was a significant bit of surgery at the get-go and it became more complicated once they got thru the muscle and reached the spine. Seems there were some other problems that presented themselves once they got a good look in the T-1 thru the C-6 area. The C-5 and C-6 had already undergone a posterior fusion around 18 months ago. This time we did an anterior fusion on the T-1 thru C-6 levels. Also, some unstable situations were noted and taken care of...thus the surgery went a few hours over plan and some minor complications kept me in the 'big house' longer than first anticipated.

Went in Thursday at 5am and left Tuesday around 10am. I had a great team headed by Dr. Russ Nockels (NeuroSurgery) at Henry Ford Hospital (Dr. Nockels took care of Reggie Brown, the Detroit Lion that had to be carried off the field in 1998..Reggie made a miraculous recovery).
Staff at HFH were great and all in all things went very well...will know more in a month or so. Meanwhile, I will be posting here and there as usual...just maybe at a reduced pace.

All of your prayers and kind thoughts and good wishes were a perfect tonic when I got home yesterday...my heartfelt thanks to all of you.
