D.Long - it's become a racket - get into office in Washington, get your 2 million from special interest groups, get the 10 million dollar profit sharing plan bonus and get out after 2 terms. It is all self promotion and self interest.

It was evident that the congressional branch is impotent at the impeachment hearings in the House, then the Senate folded and castrated the judicial system. The house of cards is falling in my opinion and we are in a game of sharades.

I am glad to be living in this country, but, like you, not proud of what is going on internally or externally. I can't predict the future, but can use deductive reasoning to determine the nature of the future.

I rather like LAW myself - but we have rendered that impotent too so what is left is lawlessness, betrayal and decadence. But I can't dwell or ponder on anything too serious right now. My husband just came home and we're going out on the patio to relax.

Good night, Jacalyn

Then why do you hold UN intervention in US affairs and policy as acceptable?

Because the elected representatives of the American electorate approved the U.N. Charter and our President signed it. We made it part of our legal system.

(And if you try to say you didn't vote for those reps, let me remind you that we are still enforcing some laws that were passed over 100 years ago, and I'm pretty sure you didn't vote for the legislators who passed them, either, but I can GUARANTEE you ain't getting far if you try to persuade a judge that you're not guilty because you didn't vote for the guys what passed them laws.)

You missed the main question. Do you agree that you and Bin Laden have the same belief system -- that you are entitled to bomb any country or members of any country you think is doing something wrong?
