Mads...my rationale remains the same. AND, you can buy the stock NOW for a price level it hit several times last year...and they are WAY AHEAD in the development of their 3D collaborative internet technology as of today compared to just a few months ago. In fact you can buy the stock now for less than half of the interday high 2 months ago...and look at the press releases since then...the whole story is right here (see releases below since Feb 4th when it spiked to 2.25 on record vol of 665,000) and it is worth a helluva lot more than 1.00 per sh. If the company IPO'd right now (and they are far enough along in the development of the various 3D internet technologies and products to do so) my guess is that it would go for $5 to $8 per sh...MY OPINION ONLY As always do your own dd. gpg
Perceptronics Creates New IC3D Web Site for Internet Collaborative 3D Technology
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Perceptronics, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PCTR - news) today announced it has opened a special Web site in response to the large amount of interest shown in its IC3D(TM) Technology for Internet Collaborative 3D, including the InterGame Framework and related products and services. Perceptronics' new IC3D(TM) Web site can be found on the Internet at ic3d.perceptronics.com.
Dr. Gershon Weltman, Perceptronics' chairman and chief executive officer, said, ''The new Web site provides an effective way for us to communicate our IC3D capabilities. Our targets are the people and organizations that already know something about the IC3D Technology Perceptronics is developing -- and the many more who should know, because of the great benefits IC3D can bring to their Internet applications. Our site will evolve continuously as our technology and product line develops.''
''The most important feature of the IC3D Web site is the detailed description and initial 'hands-on' demonstration of our Head of the River Challenge collaborative rowing game,'' said Dr. Weltman. ''Head of the River Challenge, or HOTRC, was created together with Shout Interactive of San Francisco as a proof-of-concept demonstration of Perceptronics' InterGame Framework. It is a leading-edge 3D virtual rowing simulation that allows multiple players, operating from separate computers on the Internet, to row together in the same shell, and race against live or automated players in another shell.
''By showing how remote users can truly collaborate via the Internet to affect 3D virtual objects in a 3D virtual environment, the HOTRC game illustrates the unique advantages that fully-immersive shared virtual experiences can bring to Internet applications.''
''The IC3D Web site contains a version of the HOTRC game that allows two players to collaborate in the rowing task using one computer, or even one adept player to experience the collaborative action by himself or herself. The initial Web demonstration is less complete than the multi-station version available at Perceptronics. Nevertheless, it does effectively show the collaborative capabilities of the IC3D simulation, and that these capabilities can be realized using open resources readily available on large numbers of Internet-linked PCs. Our plan is to install a multi-station demonstration of HOTRC on the IC3D Web site in the future.''
''The IC3D Web site emphasizes the revolutionary benefits that Perceptronics' IC3D Technology brings to 3D interactivity on the Internet,'' continued Dr. Weltman. ''It also provides valuable background on the IC3D Technology. This includes its origins in powerful, well-established DoD communication protocols for large scale networked simulation, as well as its architecture -- which incorporates Java, Living Worlds, VRML, standard Internet browsers, and the InterGame Framework. The site outlines the benefits of Perceptronics' IC3D Technology in the leading applications areas of entertainment, education, communication and e-commerce, and describes the application development services and interim products currently being offered by the Company.''
''We hope people will visit our new IC3D site,'' concluded Dr. Weltman, ''and contact us with feedback as well as with opportunities for service. We firmly believe that Internet Collaborative 3D is not only the next big thing in the rapidly expanding Internet market, but a truly better means of communicating and interacting. It will help establish the 'digital communities' within which a good part of the world's population will soon work, play and shop.''

Perceptronics Receives $0.5 Million Contract for Continued R&D in Networked Simulation
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Perceptronics, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PCTR - news) today announced that it had received a contract for approximately $0.5 million from the U.S. Army's Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Command (STRICOM) to perform research and development in the area of networked simulation.
Under this contract, funded by the Defense Modeling and Simulation Office (DMSO), the Company will work on advances in the High Level Architecture (HLA) being developed by the Department of Defense to enhance the connection of large numbers of military and other simulators. The HLA is the next- generation replacement for the Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) protocols, presently used by industry and government to permit diverse simulators, created by separate groups, to work effectively together on the same virtual battlefield.
The present award extends work by Perceptronics on Data Distribution Management, a service of the HLA's Run Time Infrastructure (RTI). Data Distribution Management transmits only relevant simulation exercise data and only to selected participants. It reduces the amount of information being transmitted, and therefore speeds up performance of the simulation by using the available bandwidth more effectively. Perceptronics will perform work on ''use cases'' which reflect characteristics of actual simulation scenarios, and will conduct experiments to determine RTI performance under those scenarios.
Perceptronics will also apply its IC3D(TM) Technology for Internet Collaborative 3D to various virtual environments for military simulation and training. IC3D combines the HLA protocols with open Web standards to permit multiple users to share and interact in virtual 3D environments. IC3D development and commercialization is being done with funding from a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract from STRICOM, a grant from the California Technology Innovation Partnership (CalTIP) and outside investment. The IC3D Technology will be applied to military simulations developed under HLA standards. Making such simulations available over the Internet would allow training exercises to be readily conducted with widely dispersed participants.

''The VRML Conference is a yearly event attended by more than 300 of the leading developers of Internet technology and 3D applications,'' continued Dr. Weltman. ''Perceptronics presented IC3D at its dedicated exhibit booth and at the Web3D Roundup. The Web3D Roundup is a fast-paced public forum featuring many of the world's leading VRML accomplishments. We were honored to be included in this premier event, since over half the Web3D Roundup applications were not accepted.
''Perceptronics demonstrated its IC3D Technology using the Head of the River Challenge (HOTRC). HOTRC is a collaborative 3D rowing simulation that allows multiple players, operating from separate Internet computers to row together in the same shell, and race against live or automated players in other shells. The Web3D Roundup HOTRC presentation was done in real time on a large screen before a highly sophisticated audience, and the Perceptronics team carried it off without a hitch.
''HOTRC was created together with Shout Interactive of San Francisco as a proof-of-concept demonstration of Perceptronics IC3D/InterGame Platform. Shout Interactive is the leading developer of innovative 3D Web sites. More information about Shout Interactive can be found at shoutinteractive.com.
''Our presentation at VRML99 is one of a number of presentations planned this year for technical conferences and commercial trade shows,'' Dr. Weltman concluded. ''The publicity and contacts generated by these presentations will help the launch of our IC3D products and services. These are described on our IC3D web site, which also contains a scaled-down version of HOTRC.''
The IC3D/InterGame architecture has its origins in well-established DoD protocols for high speed communication in networked virtual simulation, and also accommodates open Internet tools such as VRML and standard browsers. The success of the HOTRC demonstration shows how this powerful architecture can help establish next-generation collaborative 3D applications for education, commerce and communication, as well as for entertainment.
Perceptronics Demonstrates Operation on Internet of IC3D/InterGame Platform for Collaborative 3D
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Perceptronics, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PCTR - news) announced today that it successfully demonstrated operation of its IC3D(TM)/InterGame Platform for Internet Collaborative 3D in a fully Internet-connected mode. In the demonstration, Perceptronics' Head-of-the-River Challenge (HOTRC), a multi-person virtual rowing game jointly developed with Shout Interactive, was played over the Internet using dial-up connections.
Dr. Gershon Weltman, Perceptronics chairman and chief executive officer, said, ''This successful demonstration is a major milestone in our product development process. The present demonstration proves that our IC3D/InterGame Platform -- which combines the latest Run Time Infrastructure (RTI) implementation of the DoD's High Level Architecture (HLA) with open Internet standards such as Java, VRML 2.0. and Netscape -- will operate on the Internet as we have planned,'' said Dr. Weltman.
''Perceptronics' adaptation of the HLA/RTI communication architecture for Internet use imparts significant commercial advantages to our IC3D/InterGame Platform. These advantages include built-in scalability, extensibility and interoperability, as well as more cost-effective initial development and subsequent expansion, enhancement and reuse of Collaborative 3D applications. The success of the present demonstration shows clearly how this powerful architecture can help establish next-generation Internet Collaborative 3D applications in our chosen initial market areas of entertainment, education, commerce and communication.''
''The first demonstration of the Perceptronics IC3D/InterGame Platform, was announced on November 30, 1998. It showed that it could be used by an Internet developer such as Shout Interactive, the leading developer of innovative 3D Web sites, to create a truly collaborative shared 3D virtual experience -- the HOTRC game -- played over a local area network. The second demonstration, announced on February 3, 1999, showed that a one-station version of the HOTRC game could be down-loaded from our special IC3D Web site.''
''In the present Internet-based demonstration, two users with preloaded HOTRC software play the virtual rowing game using dial-up connections to the Internet through a commercial ISP. The users arrange their set-ups, then collaborate online in rowing a two-man shell -- racing against a computer-automated crew rowing a second two-man shell. The HOTRC rowing simulation requires close coordination of rowing stroke timing and power in order to move the shell forward straight and fast. The Internet-connected users are able to accomplish this at a high level of performance, and with no apparent degradation due to communication delays or lags.''
''These results are very positive,'' continued Dr. Weltman. ''But more development and testing effort is required, particularly in the area of streamlining the user set-up procedures, in order to support a multi-station HOTRC demonstration on our IC3D Web site, as planned. This work is in progress. At the same time, we are working to further develop our IC3D Interim Products, which we are currently offering along with total Internet Collaborative 3D Solutions to forward-looking customers.''
