Kevin, trying to imagine who a "rather prominent SI figure" would be, qualifications required for same. Just wondering.

"If you had to hold the purchase for five years, would you buy IBM or CSCO?"

Good point saying Cisco. After all, IBM was dead money for the decade of mid 80's to mid 90's because their main products were perceived (wrongly) to be falling off the cliff. Plus they lost a lot of money. I don't think they are all that hot right now, either, although they have much better positioned products, now. I don't think anyone could make an IBM-like scenario for Cisco. Well, almost not anyone.
