I suspect a bunch of you folks are going to jump on me for this, but here goes anyway.

In keeping with the Jesse James and Bonnie & Clyde tradition of Americans, I gotta admire the hoaxster(s). It was an excellent hoax, and I don't mean just because they copied a Bloomberg page to make it look real. They knew enough about the two companies to make a pretty darn good story of it, and maybe I'm stupid, but the quality of the writing sure convinced me that it was professionally written and edited.

So, I admire, perversely, the people who did the hoax, like the guy who was the first to hijack an airplane and bail out with his million bucks (CJ Cooper?) in ransom money. Everyone who does it afterwards will be mere copycats and no better than pond scum, but I gotta respect the originality and quality of this first one.

They suckered me good, and I gotta give 'em credit. I await your flames.
