I use Linux...it is very weak...It's XWindows is 2 years behind Windows...I'm not a big fan of Windows either, I grew up in the DOS world...Linux is Unix, and Unix has been around for years. What makes Linux special? It is free with free source code. Windows dominates the desktop and therefore, it dominates the servers...no one is going to trust Linux...and, if they do, why not buy SUN or SCO? In reality, Linux is a new toy, and it is free. I hope it does catch on, I would love to see Gates take a hit and scamble for a change. The cost of the O/S is far less than the cost to operate, support and applications. Someone is going to have to port a lot of applications before Linux is a hit. I'm with you on Linux, I hope it does OK...but it IS weak right now. Other than Apache, which I think is great! You don't have to tell me what is good about Linux...I trust you! :o) Whatever the future holds, lets just hope NAVR benefits!
