The C, D, E, and F Block Broadband PCS License Auction (Reauction) which began on March 23 closed in round 78 on April 15, 1999. Western Wireless VoiceStream (GSM) picked up Chicago & Dallas, Omnipoint picked up Detroit & St. Louis assuring GSM a national footprint except for New Orleams.
