RE: Dell Expands In a meeting with analysts Thursday, Dell (DELL) Founder and Chairman Michael Dell announced that the company would expand its service offerings to include tech support and custom software installation, and sell more machines directly to consumers No question that service is the key to a relationship....With upgrades being what they are...previous poooor service means a change ....DELL has always struck a deal with the service...This IMO is why they have developed a culture...If they increase their presence in this field; as they have with the other penetrations...well, when was the last time they didn't do something for the benefit of the consumer? From talking with a few of my friends at IBM the service end is where IBM has been "making a killin"....Interesting scenario developing here... Best, Kemble
