Im sorry for not responding Gustave, Ive gotten myself into quite a bit of discussion overload and I lose track sometimes :)

I dont think we should not deal with the KLA because of their drug activities, in that regard I am not naive. The international drug trade is interwined with every level of society, and many governments, including our own, are I am sure quite deep in the business. This is not controversial (what about Bush pardoning a Pakastani heroin lietenant convicted and jailed in the US, as his last act of his Presidency? hmm?)

What I do have misgivings about is their radical politics, their radical agenda, and their radical backers. I dont think it is in our interest to set up a radical marxist muslim fundamentalist government in the Balkans. It is a recipe for more bloodshed, not less. A more moderate figure such as Ibrahim is, IMHO, a more discretionary choice. Extremism in the governments of the Balkans is a situation we should attempt to alleviate, not perpetuate. Im no expert on the KLA, though, but this is the how I have viewed the situation. Id appreciate your thoughts.
