One would have to be a complete idiot to read a post by a short seller and not know that the writer was or is short. On the other hand someone who is long or is touting a particular stock should disclose only that they are not paid by the company. How much he/she is long is not that important. Obviously, again, obviously, a short wants the stock down and a long wants it up! Duhhhhhhh! If you are being compensated, let us know, end of story.
