Shorting or going long, every company has fundamentals that SHOULD drive its value. As Aware is the only public hardware pure play in DSL (Orchkit is too), I would expect to see a lot of Internet hype buying that ignores all basis of valuation. That is not a surprise. Over the next six months the reality of the players in the G.lite market will get much better defined as the standard is ratified in June and vendors make product announcements. We will see Centillium with a bunch of wins, too. Their product has much lower power consumption (for the CO) and a much lower price (than ADI) for CPE. Six months is a long time in Internet land and Aware could be $100 for no reason before than, I cannot predict it. I know the value of the company over the long term is much less than it is selling for now. Remember Texas Instruments bought Amati for $400 million last year and the potential of the market was the same then as now. There are not a lot more people on earth using telephones in one year. TI is a sophisticated purchaser and also has yet to make a product announcement in the G.lite area.
