<<2. The 'market' has been going up 'too far, too fast' for what, 8 years now?>>

Good point. I remember when the Dow crossed the 6,000 mark and many people were commenting about how insane things had become.

George will be right; the market will pull back ("correct", whatever) at some point; could be sooner than later. I still know some people who liquidated in the *ludicrous* 6,000 - 7,000 range (when Csco was in the low forties, as was Qcom, as was Tlab, as was Unph, as was ...) and never got back in. To each their own.

Best.

Jeff. I want you to go back in time. Go back to a year ago. Now look at the market and what was hot and moving and look at today. Today, you have companies going public with 6 months operating results and 1 million in revenue and the stocks are going from 15 to 70 on the first day. I hate to burst you bubble, but if that isn't a warning sign then what is. Now I am not saying we are going into some massive bear market but remember that volatility has increased dramatically thus, the downswings can be as viscous as anything we have seen in 1987.
Now I am responding to you directly with no comment about QCOM.
I just like this thread and you people are a lot of fun to talk to.
