LoD, just IMO, but this CPQ pre-announcement is old news. Did anyone really believe they weren't losing market share to DELL? After the sell off in Dell that probably will occur, this is absolutely favorable news for Dell shareholders.

What other kind of validation does anyone need that Dell is taking care of business?

Best regards,

Mark A. Peterson

If 5fer isn't gone in the next six months I'll be amazed. Ah, I've been amazed before come t think of it. Short-term bad news for all pc stocks as CPQ's incompetence will be interpreted as further evidence of "PC era demise". However, long term should be very good for Dell, now we will be feasting on the bones of two stumbling giants, IBM and CPQ, as well as the little white box makers. Eventually the money will come to Dell as the most efficient and forward-thinking company in the sector. Aloha.
