I respectfully disagree, CNBC is a news channel focused
on Wall Street, hence it reflects both POS an NEG views
of the many analysts out there.

I can name quite a few who shower praise on AOL and some
who consider it an over inflated INET bubble, Maria in
particular always talks of AOL as if it were a market
champ at the opening.

It is for you and me to interpret the news with our own
knowledge and research, recently when an analyst correctly
forecast a revenue shortfall for DELL there were many DELL
fanatics who turned to tear him apart like a pack o wolves.

Stocks are stocks and thus are vulnerable to the ebb and
flow of the market place and the economic ad political
situation.

I am a tech BULL and hold AOL but I don't worship AOL as
if it were a religion, I am aware that AOL like DELL can
also falter and I take analysts views with a grian of salt.

Suffice it to say that the consensus on AOL and the current
market conditions portend well for it to reach 200 and split
within a few weeks.

However like the compaq announcement today, anything can
come out of the blue and rock the market, the descipline
one has to have is to have faith in one's own final view
on a stock ad act accordingly, it has been proven time
and again that a good stock bought at the right price
(LOW) and held long( 10 YRS) pays big dividends.

Thanks for the advice! Buying AOL right before the last split took a great deal of courage for me, since I am used to conservative,"missionary!gg" stocks for the past 28 years! I bought the AOL based on the advice received from a freind and I am glad I did! As for CNBC, I live in Europe and CNBC is the only serious
source of info on US equities we have hear! CNN is not much of a source, and Sky News and BBC are no source at all!

Thanks,

yaacov
