Kumar on CNBC saying this is a company (CPQ) specific problem. Thinks INTC numbers next week will be good and put sanity back into the market....

Anyone: Twice I have heard Kumar say: "PC stocks in the fall will start to discount the fact that there will be boom (increase) in hardware sales coming in the 1st half of '00...

This sounds positive to me...why does he use the word "discount"?
Shouldn't he use the term "appreciate" or something of the sort???

Or is he really saying something negative here...

Me no understand analyst-speak....

ctc, you were wrong about pcs. an outlook is worth nothing but an opinion. mu was supposed to earn $17 1997. that was the outlook in 1996. so what?

the question was 1998 relative to 1997 and pcs were down, down, down. you wanted proof, now you have it. you don't want to hear it??? that's on you.
