***New scERAee Thinkers*** Found this question and response on the CMGI thread...and chuckled. To: Tony Harper (6875 ) From: cyberman Friday, Apr 9 1999 3:15PM ET Reply # of 6884 Any chance of the split being changed to 3 or 4 for 1? Or is this too much paperwork for the weekend? To: cyberman (6876 ) From: DiB Friday, Apr 9 1999 4:39PM ET Reply # of 6884 They should change it to 3:1. Now is the time... Nobody cares about PEs... or other "old-time fundamental stuff" After this hypothetical 3:1 they will have 400M shares issued, around 133M outstanding... enough for the next one.

Justa,

Nice issue of MarketTimer. Very well done.

I agree. There are usually 1-2 issues a year that make it worth the whole subscription price (not that the normal issues aren't great). This past issue was loaded with great information.

Off topic:

BTW, I would love to hear our Starship Commander address an issue he discussed a year or so ago; that being, what would the DOW be at if more technology companies were put into the calculation in the early 90s. It would be interesting to see what the average would be at now.

When the issue was discussed the first time I believe the DOW was between 7000 and 8000. The point being made at the time said the DOW would have been at 12,000 or so with the adjustment.
