Rude: Any thoughts on what contributed to the magnitude of this miss? Plus the size of the revenue shortfall compared to much larger earnings miss? M2

Rude,
I sure hope you're right about the BOD's behavior... it certainly feels now that management is untouchable by anybody and untouched by any consequences as well, including the board or it's actions!

Rudedog: This is exactly what I was thinking earlier over my first cup of coffee this morning:

>This is exactly how Rod Cannion got fired and he had a lot more stroke than EP.

RC, unlike EP, was one of the founders of CPQ. CPQ, and therefore the share price, was not doing well when RC was removed.

The question I wanted to ask you, going back to my cup of coffee, is if you remember the impact of the announcement that RC was being removed on CPQs stock then later, how the share price reacted when EP was hired. I do not remember.
