Hey there Scrapps; long time. How much of AWRE are you still holding? How you stayed in fully for all of this? AWRE has turned into an internet stock! Funny that none of the other DSL stocks are moving.

from aware's 10k :

ADI 29%
Lucent 18%
Siemens 14%
3COM/USRobo 8%

nobody actually says so, but we can probably connect a few of the
dots. siemens and newbridge are technology partners in telco systems
with the former reselling switches produced by the latter. chances
are siemens chips with technology licensed from aware are probably
involved. as for alcatel, their current generation of chips were
introduced prior to g.lite. moreover, they seem to favor implementing
ATM over adsl, a expensive network technology probably unlikely to see
much use in a consumer oriented adsl, but could have applications in
the SOHO market, but that is also a market likely to afford full rate
adsl. most chip makers like alcatel, analog devices, etc, probably
purchased the g.lite license from aware, but product positioning and
competitive technologies like full rate dsl are complicated.
remember, aware did not invent adsl. bell-labs and plenty of smart
companies contributed along the way. the key is that g.lite is the
right combo of price and performance AT THIS TIME. recall the
progression, v.22, v.33, v.90.

p.s. less anybody thinks i'm a short, i've had a position in
awre since jan'98. i may be a bull, but i don't think they
invented sliced bread and a run-up in the stock does not
convince me so.
