Stuart, what do you think about starting a
thread for discussing all the various cancer
therapies...and the stocks. Cancer is big
business--and effects a huge percentage of
the population at one time or another, so
it could become a popular thread.

Unfortunately, to just an average investor
like myself, the topic is too big to quickly
develop an appreciation for the interesting
stocks by skimming through the biotech-
related threads...a little more organization
is needed to direct folks to the more interesting
tidbits of research progress, clinical trials,
etc.

And of course, since we are off-topic here
on the Biotech Derivatives thread, why not?

Now as far as MGI 114 being a silver bullet,
for what type of cancer? Yes, I see from the
abstract that it toxic for a whole gaggle of
cell lines, but you would hope so since they
have MGI 114 in several clinical trials--
ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, and
prostate cancer--and Rick pointed that one
out because there is a poster session at the
ASCO annual meeting.

Well, I will keep an eye on the MOGN thread for
sure--I don't own the stock, so I wont post and
make a lot of noise like I usually do, but will
enjoy lurking--and will keep my eyes peeled if
anybody starts a Cancer thread. At breakfast,
I think I go through that TIME magazine--
remember the May issue with the lame red X over
the word Cancer--maybe that will help me get
back in touch with what America is being spoon
fed on the subject of late.

Oh, something I would love to see--know of a
website that describes all the various cell
lines or mutations and all the available types
of xenografts--I guess just like on the INCY
thread where there were frequent calls for a
patent attorney, now we seem to have a call out
for an oncologist--probably a few lurking, but
they are laughing their asses off each time I
post:-)
