So, you originated the term Y2K? Sure you didn't invent the Internet, too?

Wasn't it Al Gore that invented the Internet? At least that's what I've been hearing lately.

Actually my claim is for the person to publically coin "Y2K" on the Peter de Jager maillist on 12 Jun 1995. Naturally a wiseacre friend tells me he began using Y2K on their internal (confidential) project list in 1993.

Do you want a copy of the email where the deed was done? I actually happen to have it handy.
