t2k: <<That looks like a cost of my April 110 Intel calls>>

I first bought Intel in early '95. Adjusted for Monday's split, the cost basis would be about $9. (The point is you don't have to be very old to have done this.) ;-)

T2k,
You can own 50000 shares of MSFT too by buying 1000 contracts of Microsoft year
2001 $150 leaps next Monday , and sell 50% of your holding before expiration when Microsoft hit $300 sometimes before year 2001, and use the profit exercise the
rest of 500 contracts at the expiration. So the total cost of your 50000 shares at year 2001 is around $1000000 , and your average cost per share in year 2001 is $20 per share, and after two more split , your cost will be $5 per share with a total of 200000
shares in year 2004.
A friend of mine set up a goal to own 1,000,000 shares of Microsoft in year 2007!You may think he is crazy, but I do not.
I do not believe the short term option or day tradings, you may make some , but you may also lose some, and just balance in the end. You may save some money to pick up a Ferarii, but you will never have the money to buy the ships. Rome is not built in one day and it takes time. In the modern time, everyone should train itself to manage its own mutual fund and has an equal chance to get rich in the modern economy if
the strategy is right !!!!!!!!!
Good Luck !!!
