I was looking at CPQ on Yahoo, their earnings were negative $1 and change. I bought CPQ in October, sold it in early February. Looks like lucky timing.

What ticks me off about CPQ is the way they keep diddling around with AltaVista, like maybe spin it off, maybe issue a tracking stock, who knows? I liked CPQ because they had AltaVista, and DEC, which I also like, as a company. I still think buying CPQ at these levels is smart in the long run.

I mean, with Compaq, you know what you are getting. It's not like some of the other ying-yangs, they are a box maker. Make pretty good boxes. I have a couple of them myself.

Cien is getting cheap again, but no one seems to know why, other than the fact that they don't have any prospect of earning a profit for another year or two, so maybe the market does pay attention to fundamentals, except internuts.

I keep saying, buy AOL and ATHM on a pullback. I am going to.

Talk about the market all you like. We have just one tiny condition, enforced by the threat of barbacoa. Be correct.
