ed, From the look of it, the NATO, BBC, CNN, Sky News, and other mass media have done a good job convincing the public that we should invade!! All along the NATO knew that the bombing alone will not work, neither against Saddam, nor against Milosovic. Serbs are not Arabs, they are warlike people, used to harsh conditions and they are hard-headed. They lived 500 hundered years under Ottomans and in their turn were subject to ethnic cleansing and pogroms by the Utascha (Croatians) during the II WW. Once NATO has broken the back-bone of the Serbian army, then it will cross the border. Todya NATO asked for 300 more planes and that brings-up the total number to arround 1000 war planes! That tells us that there is escation and that NATO didn't do their home-work. It will take another months of bombing and then, I believe there will be a drive into Kossovo spear-headed by marines and British troops. Clinton is gathering more support in the Congress and once he is fully assured that American public wants the land war, then he will make his move. Other NATO countries will follow. As for Russian card, that is a Jolly! They like to help but their hands are tied and they have no army. Furthermore they only land route to send troops and aid is through Hungry that is now a NATO member. Hungerians don't care about Serbs, because the Hungerian minority in Vojvodina in Northeren Serbia is facing ethnic cleasing be the Serbs, sooner or later! SO What remains for Russians is using their rusted war heads and they are not that stupid. So, they will stand by and watch and will collect div. after. That makes sense? The saddest thing is that we are preparing to celebrate the yeat 2000 in the shadow of ethinic cleasning, massacars, bombrdment and Fascism! Let is seek safty in NYSE and NASDAQ! Take care, yaacov
