Also posted on Yahoo but in Case Gijoe and KYA aren't one in the same ...

If it wasnt for the fact that there is occasional informative posts on Yahoo I wouldn't bother reading this thread. However, maybe some of the younger or inexperienced traders need a little education... ok.

The facts about earnings is so amusing to read. Operating Results are what all brokers use for evaluating companues performance because it reflects the true underlying growth (or lack of) for the company. There are a few brokers that want to look a real earnings, but if you do that you *must* compare all companies in that manner. You cant simply chose a method that makes your point and ignore it for the rest.

If operating results were not used then the opposite issue would arise often. A company may recieve one-time gains for the sale of property or other assets. This can *significantly* increase the EPS for that reporting period. Of course that EPS is completely meaningless in terms of how the companies actual business is doing.

NT is doing just fine on the earnings front. You have to dig a little deeper than simply reading the newspaper to get the operating earnings. However, if you compare Loosent and NT on an operating basis you will see that in fact NT has higher earnings growth and actual numbers than Loosent. The fact that Loosent commands a higher PE is a problem of perception and market awareness. Barring any significant changes too perception in either direction, I suspect NT will trade up to high 80's low 90's before making a 50% retracement from its former base (52-56) .. which will take us back down to low 70's.

But first things first!!! we have *just* begun the next leg up. We still need to get through earnings season.

Answer the question. NT is listed as "NE" for trailing 12mos. P/E Ratio

Trailing 12 Mos. P/E Ratio is the latest closing price divided by the earnings per
share based
on the trailing 4 quarters of earnings. Companies with negative earnings receive
an "NE."

I would like to know the answer and I'm sure all who are think of investing in NUT Networks would be interested as well.If you don't plan on answering it we'll all know your just trying to COOK THE BOOK!!!!
