Disgraceful article, which by the way Jach is over one month old, where a VP of 3Com actually says that "customer should be concerned" about a possible takeover. When is the last time, in any industry, a high-ranking official tells the press the customers should be concerned to do business with him? Unbelievable.

The only way 3Com will be bought is if they split up the company.

re: Jach

COMS thread, I'd be careful before taking too much of what this guy posts seriously. My guess is either he bought some COMS, or got laid off from FORE and found work at COMS. For those of you on the thread who don't know Jach, he's a regular on the CSCO thread posting repeat arguments for dumping the stock (his "analysis" consists of about three simple-minded issues). In real life, he is (was?) a FORE employee angry at getting his butt handed to him daily. First time he posted his "CSCO is overvalued, its engineers stink, dump the stock" blather, I think CSCO was at about $40 or so. Now it's at $115. Gotta love this guy's intuition.
