Mike Dell Has been selling tons of shares and is saying There is no slowdown in computer sales and everything is A O.K.!!

MD has sold off shares for years. This is NOTHING new. Bill Gates sells more than MD. They both have more shares than God. Go to bed and don't worry.

What a fun post to try to discuss ! I'll give it a try.(G)
<<< So let me see if I can understand what is going on. CPQ is going to make a giant sucking sound as it goes down the drain on Monday.>>>
1. CPQ- Here is what I read recently- in the last 6 months 21
insiders have sold 3 mm Cpq shares and zero have bought, although
in trying to check it out I seem to see one buyer. 58% of CPQ shares (nearly 1 bil shares) are held by institutions which have recently been selling nearly 200mm shares to other unsuspecting institutions which is IMO the reason analysts are still hyping the stock.
2. CPQ has already gone down the drain at 5 PM Friday. The
public will as usual be left out in the cold. Big boys will come
up with an opening price ( may be a late opening) and that could be the worst of it for the day.
.

<<< This is Isolated just to CPQ and has no relevance to Dell at all.>>>>
The stock price of Dell will be affected somewhat but I think we have a pretty solid floor.

>>>> Dell is going to make boxes for Ibm and we are not sure if this is a good thing for DELL(is this just a rumor?).>>>
Dell had 7 new plants 'in the works' this year just to meet their own projected growth. I think in the beginning Dell and IBM
IBM will do just as they said -which I interpret as Dell aiding IBM by sharing their outstanding Web design capabilities and customer relationships and promoting IBM products while gaining the advantage of much better deal on IBM component prices and access
to the outstanding IBM design people for new products.
Overall the Dell/IBM deal can be of unimaginable size and importance to both companies, with advantage to Dell. Success will hinge on the willingness of IBM to purge some of their bureaucracy and accept some of the freedom and vision of Dell.(Especially in the PC
division)

<<< Mike Dell Has been selling tons of shares >>>
Routine selling only- has done it for years it just looks bad because he ( and some of us) have 16 times or more times as many shares because of the splits

<<<and is saying There is no slowdown in computer sales
and everything is A O.K.!!>>
Believe it.

<<<< Dell is making 14 MLN a Day on their website>>>
Yup- more now
<<<< we are not sure if they can still make their numbers.>>
They will
>>> Dell was trading at 40 1/8 in after hours trading on Friday.>>>
Not too bad, considering

<<<< The market ignores the war in the Balkans And the crap in Iraq.>>>
Indicates a pretty strong market and economy
