Burkhard,

Thanks again for your help! I have finally been successful. I wasn't selecting both \your dataman and my 1998.qif file. I also wasn't creating report before hitting view.

I hope to have my Sch D now completed today! All 58 pages!<g> I know people that trade 10x as much as me. By the time I add my brokerage 1099 to my tax return I bet this years return will be 2 inches thick!<g> WOW! I also like how it breaks down the trade analysis especially the broker fees. Over $11,000 in my case....wow

I will be very happy to recommend this program to anyone who does a high number of transactions. Once you know what your doing the program is very easy to use. I think you saved me the trouble of learning how to use Excel spreadsheets. But I'm gong to force myself to anyway.<g>

My best,
Jeff

Does StockTax have a rounding problem?

I have a 0.06 mis-match between the sales shown on my 1099-B and sales shown on my tax return.

I haven't gone through all of the transactions to see if there is a mis-match between the online values from Datek and the values on the 1099-B yet. I wonder if there is some problem with fractions of pennies relating to transaction fees, etc.?

Certainly .06 is not big deal, but I like to have it match exactly - it shows the IRS that a level of care was taken in preparing the return.
