CUP with HANDLE ... this is a very nice documented writeup on CUP and Handle. I got the Emailed watchlist of 4/12. For Earning Plays of 4/15, #2 is a little shaky IMO ....

Jenna, another great write up on Cup and Handle last night! The only question I have is where along the formation is the optimal point for an earnings announcement? How do stocks perform afterwards if the earnings date is in the handle, or still in the cup, or if there is a breakout just before or immediately after the earnings date? I am tracking past earnings plays with cups and handles to find out how stocks do under these different circumstances. So far it looks like the best performers broke out of the handle a few days before the earnings announcement (e.g. ELNK, JEF), and those that announce while still in the handle go down (AKLM) as often as up (INFS).
