Actually, I think the CPQ earnings warning is the tip of the iceberg signalling the beginning of the end of the expensive, PC centric computing business and a validation of the internet-connectivity-bandwidth centric model.

In my mind it is a validation that ATHM, et al, is where the action is, and where the money is flowing. Out with the old, in with the new.

Vor- From the look of futures this morning, CPQ will take down the "entire" tech sector. I don't think ATHM will be immune. This will be an excuse for many investors that have been uneasy about the market in the first place. A lot of selling will go on this morning. I'm glad I no longer have my Dell shares because of the unfortunate CPQ effect.

If we do get a day or a few days of selling, I believe it will come back thanks to those looking for bargains. It will take a lot to derail this bull market.

Many companies will be reporting earnings this week. Let's hope they're not in the same pickle as CPQ.

Good luck everyone!
