I am no legal-eagle, but it looks like ONSL, being the first to Internet Auctions, will go after every other Auctioneer (ie. EBAY, AMZN, etc, etc) for royalties, and/or cease/desist.

it is worth noting that the patent was issued to the founders and not Onsale itself. Is anyone aware of the deal by which the founders licence/transfer the intellectual property to Onsale, if indeed there is such a deal? I would have thought the underwriters would have insisted that the Intellectual Property be transferred to the public company before they took the issue public.
