What do you suggest? If all the boxmakers get together and have a price-fixing agreement, not only would that be illegal, it would also be ineffective. Cheaper boxes would be sold off the back of lorries,as we say here ("trucks" as you say there).

Its the survival of the fittest. This is a long-running campaign. IBM and HWP are wilting, DELL is nervous of entering the low-end fray - hopefully CPQ will achieve dominance and with it pricing power.
