LG,

The continuous subjectivity of postings on this thread that seems to strive toward "analysis" in order to support a bearish "predisposition" is really getting on my nerves. Sadly, even Mr. Sew has succumbed to the myopic zeitgeist that has developed here.

I almost hesitate to do this but from the lack of objectivity that has grown on this thread, I must review a perspective I have held that goes back more than 5 months on this forum. As the majority on this thread has become increasingly bearish (or should I say wrong) the market has continued to increase in strength from an OBJECTIVE standpoint.

From numerous emails I have received concerning nearly ruinous actions taken by at least several persons on the basis of this thread's supposed expertise, I reluctantly feel I must interject. In doing so I mean no insult to anyone. I would like to make it clear, though, that the market is more serious to people than intellectual exercise or presupposition that is in search of justification couched in rhetoric or faux authoritative jargon.

Every week there is a new reason to call a market top here. This has gone on for months now. On the BK thread it has gone on for years. Very soon, there will be absolutely no difference between this thread and the BK thread. Analysis or predisposition?......There is a difference.

Hmmm...no response from the thread's participants to this post.

Not a reasonable response to this either.

Then I get this seemingly patronizing response,
Well it seems your initial expectation for the Dow on March 26 was very close.
to this post:

No response to this one even though a whole herd of Granvilles have started taking up residence here:

Hmmm...David J gets it but his post gets NO response:

Oh, wait...StockOperator can look at things objectively too:

But nobody else from the thread even tries an objective approach. This is where it becomes obviously frustrating to spend the time and effort to contribute here.

An objective look at Elliott wave stuff made nary a ripple:

Now here I have to give you, LG, credit for making an attempt at actually looking at the damn chart but then...nothing.

By the way...as of this post the Dow hit a low of 9133. sheesh.

Here is the post that pegged the last bottom of '98 in December. Note that I suggested which indicator to use in order to analyze market direction. No presuppositions...just analysis.

Perhaps the name of this thread should be changed to Market Direction Presupposition Based on Subjective Analysis. Without a better attempt at objectivity by the participants, it's difficult to justify the use of the word "Analysis" in the current title without a disclaimer.

not succumbing to Chicken Little syndrome until objectively justified,
